Computers with Snapdragon with “another” Windows operating systemwhich could allegedly be the expected Windows 12 or a major update to Windows 11.
The head of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, said this at the corresponding meeting with investors after the presentation of quarterly results, which led to an increase in revenues (5%) and profits (24%). The manager was pleased with the good reception of his new PC platform and promised to launch “many” devices from different manufacturers.
As expected, Amon talked about the keys to these computers for 2024 and one of them is application of artificial intelligence technologies. “We love that everyone is talking about AI in PCs right now… We expect Snapdragon to be ‘the next generation of Windows PCs’.
Another key is the operating system. The CEO of Qualcomm once again hinted at the next Windows. Furthermore, the launch of its platform depends on it. “We are watching the launch of products with our chips linked to another version of Microsoft Windows “which has many of the AI capabilities of Windows”.
Even so, the executive director maintains the strategy planned for next summer: “We’re still keeping the same date, powered by Windows, which is mid 2024 ready for back to school”. But it still depends on Microsoft.

Snapdragon X Elite PCs need a reliable Windows system
We have talked about this on several occasions. Snapdragon
Previous performance results are encouraging, but the operating system is unknown. If Microsoft can create a Windows that runs the same way on the ARM architecture as it does on x86, and that is able to run apps and games at the same level, Qualcomm’s proposal (and ARM on PCs in general) will have a good future. ..
Otherwise, looks like another Windows on ARM fiasco, no matter how high Qualcomm’s development level is. System and software support is key, as Apple has shown with macOS and the excellent Rossetta 2, which made it easy to port applications.
