ThoughtSpot wants to improve Sage’s accuracy. Sage is the BI specialist’s generative AI tool. ThoughtSpot points out that while generative AI is very good at interpreting natural language, it can’t necessarily convert it into complex analytical queries. To do this, AI must combine the right data sources in the right way, which goes beyond the capabilities of classic LLMs. That’s why ThoughtSpot integrates a feedback loop into its solution.
Specifically, users can view the AI’s answers in detail and adapt or improve queries. By customizing the prompts and providing better associations between terms and data, the model will immediately become better trained. Sage helps with analytics questions and, in complex cases, provides inspiration for an answer that data specialists can build on.
ThoughtSpot also adds some other features to Sage. Ask Sage, for example, allows you to ask follow-up questions based on visualizations, again in natural language. Sage can also monitor KPIs and notify users of important changes in natural language.
ThoughtSpot launched Sage in March last year. Now the company is building on AI technology with new features and improvements.
