Adobe brings Lightroom and Firefly AI to the Apple Vision Pro. VR glasses seem to be increasingly aimed at the creative sector.

Earlier this month, Microsoft already brought its 365 products to the Vision Pro. Now Adobe announced that Lightroom and Firefly AI will also be available on Apple’s VR glasses. The Apple Vision Pro is a VR headset that lets you experience a completely different world and is equipped with high-resolution cameras to enable this AR experience. Firefly AI’s software is designed to fit seamlessly into the visionOS system. The images generated by the text-to-image tool can now be placed in the virtual world.

VisionOS system

Firefly AI, Adobe’s text-to-image tool, will be available as a native app, just like Lightroom AI, which was introduced when the VR headset launched. The use of Firefly AI would be completely tailored to the visionOS system. With the web-based Firefly AI, users are presented with four image suggestions based on a description. In the Vision Pro version, users can place these generated images in space, for example on a wall. The interface would therefore be similar to that of the web-based version.

Adobe has also dropped features for “sweep panoramas, 360-degree environments, and more” in Firefly AI, although no details have been released yet. Thanks to Adobe’s takeover of Apple Silicon, VR glasses are increasingly becoming an interesting tool for the creative sector, even if the glasses remain a very expensive niche product that is not available from us for the time being.
