Telecommunications is a crucial factor in almost every company and should not be ignored when it comes to innovation. TelSmart presents a new telephony solution that responds to the current way of working.

Every day we communicate with our colleagues and customers primarily via Teams, email or chat messages. Because of this diversity, one of the most traditional and efficient forms of communication is often underestimated: telephone calls. Telephony software has developed enormously in recent years.

The telecommunications company TelSmart is reacting strongly to this efficient and growing communication tool and is looking for new innovations. For example, TelSmart recently developed a new telephony solution: the Flexy Sim. This solution makes your smartphone smarter and not only combines your mobile and landline telephony, but also offers tailored subscriptions for each employee.

The current telephony challenge

The way we work has taken a completely new turn since the Corona pandemic. Employees work wherever and whenever they want, at home, in the office or on the go. This current form of work brings with it challenges in the area of communication technology.

Due to flexible workplaces and schedules, traditional cloud telephony platforms cannot always meet the challenges involved. For example, employees who travel frequently can quickly experience connection problems when using a cloud telephony app in regions with weak internet connections. “For us, this affects the GSM network, so you won’t have any problems with it,” says TelSmart’s Rob Renders. In addition, colleagues on the move do not notice when they call and the line is therefore busy. Classic telephony software requires more flexibility. TelSmart wanted to introduce innovations in this context.

3-in-1 solution

In order to provide an answer to current challenges in telephony, TelSmart has developed the Flexy-SIM, a 3-in-1 solution that includes mobile communications, landline telephony and your telephone exchange in one subscription. With this development, employees can add the subscription to their SIM card, eliminating the need for an external application. You can then add a personal and a work number to this SIM card and switch between the two with one button.

“I can easily manage my time and the availability of my company with one click from my smartphone. Examples include the meeting button when I’m in a meeting or the vacation button when I’m on vacation. “I can also choose with one click whether I want to call with my private or business number,” says Ils Sterckx from Matuvu, a TelSmart customer.

Intelligent telephony for everyone

The solution takes into account the diversity of employee types and creates different individual subscriptions for them. For example, there is a subscription for the Office lover, flexible worker, street explorer And Travel lover. This way, the needs of every type of employee can be met.

Works seamlessly with CRM systems

This telephony solution can also be configured with over 300 CRM systems, which makes it more interesting for sales. Telecommunications are a crucial part of a good customer relationship. By configuring with CRM systems, employees can gain more insight into their customer relationships and analyze the necessary statistics. “This means that mobile phone calls are also included in the statistics and not just calls via landline,” concludes Renders.

Ambitions for 2024

In the rapidly evolving technology landscape as we know it today, it is important to continue to innovate. One of the goals that TelSmart has set for 2024 is to simplify the lives of no fewer than 3,500 new users with the new SMART offer.

Landline phones are increasingly disappearing from offices and we are ready to offer a seamless and modern alternative.

Rob Renders

A second goal reaches further (in the truest sense of the word), beyond the border. The telecommunications company wants to serve its first customers in the Netherlands this year, and further expansion into other EU countries is expected to follow in 2025. “This year the focus is increasingly on medium-sized and large companies. With the introduction of our SMART Mobile offering, we can also better serve this market,” concludes Renders.
