Lei Jun, CEO and co-founder of Xiaomi, announced that William Lu is the new CEO of the company. The founder also revealed that Xiaomi’s newly appointed CEO will also launch the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Xiaomi SU7 is currently undergoing road tests across the country ahead of its domestic launch, the CEO of the Chinese tech giant said in a tweet. He adds that since he is committed to the electric car business, the brand has appointed Willian Lu as general manager of the Xiaomi brand, which will allow him to participate in future smartphone releases. It is noteworthy that William’s presence will begin with the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

William confirmed his role in another tweet and expressed his excitement about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch. In other words, the flagship of the new generation is just around the corner. The premium phone was certified by major platforms such as TUV Rheinland and IMDA just last week. Meanwhile, looking at GeekBench revealed some important features as well as synthetic benchmarks. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also come out of the box with Android 14. According to a well-known Digital Chat Station expert, the device will also offer impressive 80W fast wireless charging. Another important feature that is said to come with the 14 Ultra is satellite connection. The 3C certification confirms that the wireless camera kit is also in development.
