Kortrijk-based Barco introduced the ClickShare Bar to the world last week. The ClickShare Bar is a video bar with an integrated webcam, microphones and speakers. When you connect the device to a screen, you have created a smart meeting room. The bar has intelligent functions for audio and video. This allows the device to keep track of speakers or show a compilation of all participants and only relevant audio is passed on while the bar filters out background noise.

Core and professional

Barco introduces two variants: the ClickShare Bar Core and the ClickShare Bar Pro. Both devices are similar, but the Pro comes with two ClickShare buttons instead of one and has some additional AI functions on board. For example, the device can display a single speaker, while the Core version can only display the entire group or a composition. The Pro version also has some interactive features like annotation on board and you can connect two screens. Optically, both devices are identical and Barco equips both with a 4K camera.

Barco strives for simplicity when it comes to the bar. Ultimately, users need to install a device to equip an entire meeting room for video conferencing. With the ClickShare button you can theoretically start a meeting from your own laptop at the push of a button. The ClickShare Bar Core costs 2,950 euros without VAT, the Pro version is significantly more expensive with a recommended retail price of 3,950 euros.
