MSI launches the Cubi N Mini PC, which is passively cooled

The MSI Cubi N ADL S is passively cooled by a large cooling element inside and can be configured with an Intel N100 or N200.

The NUC PC concept was sold by Intel to Asus last year. The compact mini PC fits perfectly on a VESA 100 mounting bracket behind a monitor and measures an average of 12 x 12 cm. Such mini PCs have been around for years, but they have their loyal following. MSI is now serving them with a new version of its Cubi N series.

The MSI Cubi N ADL has been available since last year and costs an average of 299 euros including VAT for a version with Intel N100 on board and Windows 11 Pro. MSI is now bringing a passively cooled version onto the market under the name MSI Cubi N ADL S, with the S probably standing for Silent.

Although the Mini PC is passively cooled, it does not grow larger and the PC retains the same ports. On the back you will find 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, 2x RJ45 (1 Gbit/s) and 2x USB-A (USB 2.0). On the front there is space for 1x USB-C (USB 3.1), 2x USB-A (USB 3.1) and a headphone jack.

You can configure the MSI Cubi N ADL S with an Intel N 100 or Intel N200, two chips from the Alder Lake N series. Both are quad-core chips with a TDP of 6 watts. The passive cooling ensures quiet operation of the PC.

No price has yet been announced for the MSI Cubi N ADL S. Taking into account the fact that the non-passive version costs an average of 299 euros including VAT, we expect only a small price increase for the passive version. It is not yet known when the passive version will be available.
