It appears that 2023 Game of the Year Elden Ring will be coming to the mobile gaming market soon. According to reports, this popular game will have a mobile version developed by Tencent. This is quite surprising, considering that the studio behind this project is known for creating popular video games for consoles and PC. Here’s everything you need to know.

According to Reuters, Chinese company Tencent plans to bring the addictive Elden Ring game to mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. Recall that Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s latest game in the popular Souls-like genre. It is an open-world role-playing game with dark fantasy elements that has become a huge success among the gaming community thanks to its beautiful graphics, deep mechanics, and challenging boss battles.

It now looks like this formula can be transferred from a $60 AAA game to a free-to-play mobile game. Of course, this means microtransactions will likely appear in the game. Unfortunately, this is all the information shared in the report. It’s worth noting that news of Tencent’s Elden Ring mobile game comes shortly after the Chinese company halted development of the highly anticipated Nier mobile game.

For those who don’t know, Tencent reportedly abandoned its mobile Nier project because it couldn’t find a monetization model that would allow it to recoup the franchise licensing fee from Square Enix. So it is not yet known whether the Ring of Eternity mobile game will be released.
