SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft departed the International Space Station on Wednesday, February 7, and is returning to Earth with four astronauts aboard.

“Docking of Ax3 confirmed, journey back to Earth begins. Crew spent approximately two weeks conducting research and training work on the ISS,” reads the post.

The ship is expected to touch down on Earth on February 9 in the Atlantic, near the east coast of Florida.

Axiom’s third mission (Ax-3) team includes former NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria, who served as commander, pilot Walter Villadei (Italy), and mission experts Markus Wandt (Sweden) and Alper Gezeravci (Turkey).

On January 20, a group of astronauts from the Axiom-3 (Ax-3) team arrived at the International Space Station, Ukrinform reported. From the moment of launch, the journey took 36 hours.
