Although Samsung uses the Tizen operating system on its televisions, the company also has models running Android. But these are not TVs, but interactive monitors of the WAD line. That’s when they discovered an interesting feature.
Samsung has implemented a surge protection system in WAD; This system includes a 500-volt capacitor that allows you to instantly absorb a large voltage surge. Glass fuses are also used in the electrical circuit protection system. But that’s not all: a special moisture-resistant adhesive is applied to the WAD system board to prevent failure of the board and electrical components when operating in high humidity conditions. This allows the use of curtains in areas with heavy rainfall.
WAD interactive displays feature a plug-in Wi-Fi module and a USB-C port that allows you to charge connected devices (like a laptop) at up to 65W. There is also an HDMI output and stereo speakers. The cost of Samsung WAD has not been disclosed, but in addition to the 86-inch model, there are also models with 65-inch and 75-inch screens.
