New iPhones won’t get an advanced processor

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted that the TSMC roadmap shows that 3-nanometer and 4-nanometer processors will not be ready for mass production until 2023. This means that the new iPhone 14 will be left without the advanced SoC.

Kuo’s information is further proof that the new A16 chip for the iPhone 14 will continue to use the old 5 nanometer process technology. And only more expensive iPhone 14 models will get.Basic smartphones will continue to use the last generation A15 processor.

It is noted that it is not customary for iPhone chips to use the same technical process for three consecutive years. Apple processors tended to use advanced technology that allowed them to stay ahead of the competition in terms of performance. It is possible that this year the situation will be different due to the lack of continued chips.
