Check Point introduces Quantum Spark 1900 and 2000: next-generation firewalls for SMBs that focus on ease of use and advanced security features for organizations with limited IT resources.
Check Point introduces the Quantum Spark 1900 and 2000, the latest models in its line of next-generation firewalls for small and medium-sized businesses. These security gateways are designed to protect SMBs from ever-evolving cyber threats. Check Point also introduced hardware with the same design last year.
Capable of processing up to 5Gbps of traffic, the new firewalls are designed to block a wide range of cyber-attacks, including zero-day malware, phishing and ransomware, with 99.8 percent effectiveness .
Digital security remains a key challenge for businesses, especially SMEs, which are often faced with limited IT resources. These companies represent an important part of the Belgian economy, but are particularly vulnerable to cybercrime.
The Quantum Spark 1900 and 2000 offer advanced features such as AI-driven threat prevention, simplified cloud management, and threat management automation. Lieven Van Rentergem, security technology expert at Check Point Software, emphasizes that the new products are intended to help SMEs effectively protect their operations from the complexity of the current cyber threat landscape, despite limited resources or cybersecurity expertise.
Consideration of MSPs
Check Point also sees MSPs increasingly being tasked with managing complex software and supporting digital initiatives and expects them to account for a significant portion of SMB cybersecurity budgets by 2025. These firewalls can be managed by MSPs.
Check Point’s introduction of Quantum Spark 1900 and 2000 is a step toward providing a robust solution to the cybersecurity challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses and strengthens Check Point’s offering of security solutions that are both effective and for organizations accessible with limited IT skills.
