In addition, during this time we could see how the features and their quality grow, which is a clear example of the importance that technology companies attach to artificial intelligence.

Of course, this leads us to the idea that the rule “for artificial intelligence to reach everywhere” it was to be printed and hung on the wall of every office, meeting room and workspaceand therefore there are many people who today, as part of their work duties, think about what use Copilot can have in each of the services, in this case from Microsoft, to try to expand their reach in this way.

And I must admit that I personally find it surprising to say the least, since we are talking about an application that is characterized by simplicity, that has only the basic functions that can be expected from this type of software, and that has only recently received a major update after a long time, with the advent of algae.

This feature, which is already being tested on the Dev and Canary channels of the Windows 11 Insiders program, adds an item to the notebook’s context menu, which appears when we select text in it, and which allows us to ask Copilot to explain the meaning of said text. Of course, the answer doesn’t appear in Notepad itself, instead Copilot opens up to show us the answer.

It makes sense that Microsoft would consider including the same functionality in any element/application of the operating system where text is edited and/or displayed, and if the experience with Notepad is positive (and I understand it will be), we can expect them to act accordingly. so. However, I stand by what I mentioned earlier and that’s it I am surprised that this particular application was chosen.
