On Saturday, February 10, SpaceX launched a new batch of 22 Starlink Internet satellites.
This was reported by Space.com, according to Ukrinform’s report.
The launch of the Falcon 9 carrier rocket with 22 satellites on it was carried out at 02:34 from the spaceport in the state of California.
SpaceX initially planned a flight for Wednesday morning, then Thursday evening, but postponed the launch due to adverse weather conditions.
Finally, the mission started on the third try.
Falcon 9’s first stage returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes later, via the unmanned vehicle in the Pacific Ocean.
This was the 14th launch and landing of the rocket booster. Seven of the previous 13 flights were missions to launch Starlink satellites, of which there are more than 5,400 in space.
This launch of the Starlink group was SpaceX’s 11th orbital mission this year.
As Ukrinform reported, SpaceX and the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration launched NASA’s PACE satellite into space on February 8.
