This Sunday, 14 people were injured, two of them critically, when a tree fell on the Tomahawk ride at the Port Aventura resort in Catalonia, Spain, due to strong winds.
Sources at the park explained to Europa Press that it was an “accidental incident” due to strong winds after branches from a falling tree hit some people on the ride.
The Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques treated 14 wounded people and transferred two people in critical condition to the Bellvitge Hospital (Barcelona) and the Jean XXIII University Hospital (Tarragona).
The EMS involved 8 ground units and a medical helicopter.
Sources in the Catalan police explained to Europa Press that they began a technical investigation and moved out with five crews.
