American automobile manufacturer General Motors named the price of the electric car it previously offered as 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV.
As reported by Ukrinform, The Verge reports this.
It is stated that the cost of the basic model of a copy starts from 34,995 USD. But that price doesn’t take into account the Equinox’s eligibility for the $7,500 U.S. federal electric vehicle tax credit, which the automaker says will be available to customers at the point of purchase.
So applying the tax credit reduces the base model’s starting price to $27,495.
The company claims that the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV can travel up to 513 km on a single charge.
General Motors first announced that its cars would start arriving at dealerships in 2023, but this date was postponed to 2024 due to the decrease in demand for electric vehicles and the strike of automotive workers last year.
The American automaker also claims that the Equinox EV can “beat” other entry-level models in its segment, including the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Nissan Ariya, Volkswagen ID.4 and Volvo EX30.
As reported by Ukrinform, the General Motors company is recalling 323,232 vehicles due to a problem with rear doors that can break while driving.
