Representatives of the Lithuanian army confirmed to the LRT portal that on February 3, a suspicious connection with the user account of the distance learning information system of the Lithuanian Armed Forces ILIAS was indeed registered. “For this reason, 3 servers of the Key State Telecommunications Center (KVTC), which hosts the ILIAS training system, were disabled. Army representatives stated that the National Cyber ​​Security Center (NKSC), which is in active cooperation with the Lithuanian Army, launched an investigation, and that the incident is currently at a moderate level.” It was classified as a cyber incident, he said.

According to available information, there was no data breach, but this is expected to be confirmed by the investigation. “The ILIAS distance learning information system is still disconnected from the external network and is currently being updated,” the Lithuanian military said. said.
