Now, as an aviation fan, I admit it one of the reasons I want to see this new installment of Dune is to see the ornithopters again in action. In reality, of course, we don’t have to imagine it because we can experience it.

As expected, Controlling an ornithopter is more similar to controlling a helicopter than controlling an airplane, a light aircraft or fighter, but it has some quirks that add much more excitement to the experience, such as its high speed and yes, the ability to fold its wings to perform dives at terrifying speeds.
