Apple today released the third beta of the upcoming watchOS 10.4 update to developers for testing; The beta comes a week after the release of the second watchOS 10.4 beta.
To install the “WatchOS 10.4” update, developers must open the Apple Watch app, go to Software Update in General in Settings, and enable the watchOS 10 developer beta. An Apple ID associated with the developer account is required.
Once activated, watchOS 10.4 betas will be available for download from the same Software Updates section. To install the software, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery life and the Apple Watch must be connected to its charger.
WatchOS 10.4 includes new emoji symbols such as lime, edible brown mushroom, phoenix, broken chain, vertical nod (like a yes nod) and horizontal nod (no head nod). There is also a Vision Pro setting on the Apple Watch that disables Double Tap, as hand gestures can interfere with this.
