One of the Google employees claims that Android 15 is very soon. Android 15 Developer Preview, the first release for developers, will arrive on all compatible Google Pixels on February 15. So says Mikhail Kulaha, a Google employee who has been specializing in Android for a decade.

This leak follows Google’s usual release schedule. We were expected to see the first version of the operating system this first quarter.

Yesterday, February 13, Google employee leaked the release date of Android 15 Developer Preview 1. He hasn’t made this in any official statement, this is just a comment within a conversation about a code review.

The employee claims that the first Developer Preview of “Android V” is scheduled for February 15. Android V is the codename for Android 15, the version that will replace Android 14. Despite this leak, nothing is stopping Google from moving forward or delaying this launch. Android 15 coming soon.

You can update to this version from Pixel 5a on compatible devices, but the first Developer Preview is not intended for 1-day use or for users whose main mobile phone is Pixel. There will be an access version of Android 15, but it will not have all the new features and will have a lot of details to polish.

Regarding the update schedule, these are expected to arrive two Developer Previews and approximately five public betas. If tradition is followed, the final version will arrive between August and September.
