Developers from other countries will be able to use the Unified State Electronic Services Web Portal code to create their own applications.

This was reported on Telegram by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ukrinform reports.

“Now developers in other countries will be able to use Diya’s code and build their applications based on it. “Our foreign colleagues will see what quality government products we create,” the message reads.

The relevant Procedure for using the software of the mobile application of the Unified State Electronic Services Web Portal was adopted by the Council of Ministers at the meeting on February 13.

As Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovations, Education, Science and Technologies – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized, with open source code and documentation, Ukraine will be able to quickly export “Dia” to other countries.

Open data is used by most of the top app developers around the world because it helps in improving and scaling the product.

At the same time, the ministry insists that opening access to the application code will not affect the security of Ukrainians’ data, as a testing ground will be created without access to records by simulating information retrieval, so Ukrainians’ data will remain completely safe.

As reported, the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada recommended that the Council adopt bill No. 10380 on the features of customs declarations of passenger cars based on the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services.
