Andriy Karpaty, co-founder of artificial intelligence OpenAI, announced that he is leaving the company.
As reported by Ukrinform, he wrote about it: social networksH.
“Hello everyone, yes I left OpenAI yesterday. My immediate plan is to work on my personal projects and see what comes of it,” Karpaty wrote.
He noted that “nothing happened” and that his departure from the company was not the result of any specific event.
Karpaty is a Canadian artificial intelligence researcher and one of the founders of OpenAI. He also served as director of artificial intelligence at Elon Musk’s company Tesla from 2017 to 2022.
As Ukrinform reported, the company OpenAI announced in November that it would return Sam Altman to the position of CEO and appoint new board members. OpenAI’s board previously fired Altman due to a loss of confidence in his ability to lead the company.
