As expected, Google is already working on it Android 15whose first developer preview was recently released (Developer preview 1) that can be installed on supported Pixel devices. Although this is a very early version of the system, it contains a number of interesting new features.
The first interesting thing about Android 15 is the Android Dynamic Performance Framework (ADPF), a feature that is already present that allows developers to optimize the performance of applications that take up a lot of resources, both of the form type (“normal” as he understood it) like video games.
The future version of the system aims to take ADPF further by incorporating power efficiency mode into track sessions while gaming will benefit from headroom temperature limits. All of this will come with support for CPU and GPU-level task persistence, so developers will have a better framework for balancing performance and efficiency in games and applications.
While high-end smartphones usually take center stage when it comes to news, the reality is that low-end and mid-range devices dominate the market. In this panorama, software optimization can be very important, especially for video games with a relatively high graphics load.
The news that Android 15 will introduce, or at least it was the case with Developer Preview 1, is recording and sharing a partial screen. There’s nothing here that can’t be guessed with a little logic, as this is a feature that allows you to record a certain part of the screen that can be saved as documentation or shared with another person. The main advantage over full screen capture is what is gained in terms of privacy.

Another powerful new feature of Android 15 is Privacy Quarantinewith which Google “aims to develop new technologies that improve user privacy and enable us to provide a personalized and effective in-app advertising experience for mobile devices.”
This isn’t the first time the search giant has worked to improve the privacy and security provided by Android. In fact, we already saw this in version 13 of the system. However, the Privacy Sandbox wants to not only improve privacy through isolation, but also serve as a framework to improve the personalized advertising experience. Google is Google.
Another new feature of Android 15 is inclusion FS-VARITY, a Linux kernel feature which provides transparent protection of the integrity and authenticity of read-only files according to Google allows files to be protected with custom cryptographic signatures to ensure they have not been tampered with or corruptedin addition, it provides better protection against malware and any unauthorized file changes.
As we can see, Android 15 doesn’t look like a revolution, but it is an evolution that can ultimately be appreciated for improvements in app optimization and privacy protection. Those who want to try Developer Preview 1 can follow the instructions published by Google.
