American space agency NASA plans to launch a new UVEX (UltraViolet EXplorer) telescope into space that will investigate ultraviolet light sources in the universe.
This is stated on NASA’s website, Ukrinform reports.
UVEX is scheduled to launch in 2030 as part of the Astrophysics Medium-Class Explorer mission.
It is stated that the telescope can detect ultraviolet light sources in the universe and record explosions following gravitational wave explosions resulting from the fusion of neutron stars.
The telescope will also study star explosions.
NASA states that UVEX will help better understand the nature of both near and distant galaxies.
As Ukrinform reported, SpaceX sent the Odysseus landing module to the moon, built by the private American company Intuitive Machines.
