Display specialist AOC is introducing four new B3 series monitors aimed at home workers and office environments.
AOC is expanding its B3 portfolio with four new monitors. These new models, including two 23.8-inch and two 27-inch monitors, are equipped with an IPS panel and offer Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 in 16:99 ratio), a refresh rate of 100 Hz and a 65W USB port. C Power Delivery connector (for 24B3CF2 and 27B3CF2). The development of these monitors reflects AOC’s commitment to meeting the changing needs of both home users and business environments.
The new monitors are named AOC 24B3CF2, 24B3CA2, 27B3CF2 and 27B3CA2. They have several features that make them relevant for professional use. Think about connectivity via a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1×1 port that supports DisplayPort Alt mode in addition to power, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1×1 ports for connecting peripherals.
AOC highlights the 100Hz refresh rate for this product line. This is significantly more than conventional 75 Hz monitors. The higher refresh rate ensures smoother movements on the screen, which is particularly noticeable when moving quickly. Anyone who flicks the mouse back and forth wildly and has to regularly scroll through websites or tables may notice a difference, although 75 Hz isn’t exactly choppy. The four models feature prominent edges, which AOC says makes them more visually appealing in multi-monitor setups.
AOC markets the monitors with a focus on user comfort. We are pleased to read that the 24B3CF2 and 27B3CF2 models are height adjustable, which is important for good posture. AOC, like almost every screen manufacturer these days, decides to market the screens with a myth about the supposed negative effects of blue light that this screen would then be exposed to. We would like to reiterate that there is no scientific reason to avoid blue light, except right before bed. So ignore this marketing talk.
These new screens will be available from early February at recommended prices of 160 euros including VAT for the 24B3CF2 to 199 euros for the 27B3CA2. When it comes to packaging, AOC also attaches great importance to environmental aspects by using environmentally friendly paper filling materials.
