Few brands in the automotive sector are more mythical and iconic than DeLorean. And it’s strange, because a critical analysis of a car that captivated so many hearts in the 1980s reveals that in addition to impressive design, it had some design and material problems that made it a less reliable car and a certain tendency to cause problems. Another car that you can show off and enjoy on vacation before using it as a regular vehicle.

Never mind, all of this doesn’t matter, and knowing that it had quite improvable aspects, many of us would really enjoy the opportunity to drive a DeLorean. And what they have shown so far is the most attractive.

With a little imagination, we can try to project the inspiration from the DeLorean Alpha5 EV into the classics, but the only real connection we can find between the two cars is its characteristic seagull door. In addition, we will not find more coincidences than the number of laps and similar details.

DeLorean Alpha5 EV has a very current sports car design and here we find another coincidence, because both designs were the work of ItalDesign by Giorgetto Giugiar. It is speculated that it will have a 100-kilowatt battery for a dual-engine, four-wheel drive configuration and will be able to reach a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour while jumping from zero to one hundred. It will take less than three seconds. Sporty performance in electro with a mythical name, all very promising.
