The state rear operator has developed an IT solution for submitting applications for food supplies to military units, aiming to automate processes and consolidate data.
According to Ukrinform, this situation was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The state organization notes that one of the differences of the new approach to the supply of food to the Armed Forces is the distribution of tasks in the supply system. Previously, military units contacted suppliers directly regarding orders, now this function will fall into the hands of the DOT.
The Ministry of Defense explained how the interaction process will be constructed. In particular, applications are created one month in advance by military units and clarified one week before delivery. They are sent to DOT through an automated IT system. DOT aggregates applications, determines lists and volumes to be provided by region, and distributes applications among suppliers.
The Ministry believes that such an approach will allow collecting objective data on the volume of orders placed by military units, increase the transparency and accountability of the process, and at the same time minimize the risks of possible corruption.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense announced that a new procurement architecture for the Armed Forces in line with NATO standards has been implemented.
