Last year was one of the most interesting in terms of games. If we were to make a list best games of 2023 It would be very difficult because there are many quality titles that have come out that we shouldn’t miss for anything in the world, even if unfortunately for most of us it is not possible to play them all in the end.

That’s why I wanted to share with you all personal choicealthough also quite objective, with what for me were the top ten games of 2023. I’ve carefully refined this selection to include different genres so that you have a greater variety of games to choose from, and I’ll also leave you with the requirements of each one so you know , whether it will work on your PC.

Before we begin, I invite you to share with us in the comments the ones that were the best games for you last year, because in this way we can discover some titles that made less noise but are worth trying. In this list I didn’t follow any type of hierarchy, so the numbering is just a ranking, not that some are better games than others. Now make yourself comfortable, let’s start the selection

The best games of 2023

1.-Street Fighter 6

best games of 2023

The king of one-on-one fighting games returned to the fray last year and did so in style with a new installment that made the jump to a new graphics engine, the RE Engine, which Capcom also uses in the Resident franchise. Evil. He assumed a big improvement over Street Fighter Vboth in terms of technical and content.

I had the chance to take it apart at the time and could confirm that not only is it still the king of its genre, but it is also one of the best games of 2023 in its own right. It was one of the big surprises of last year and quickly became one of the best games of 2023 on a technical level. Its graphic quality is excellent, and when it comes to art direction, setting, and storytelling, it’s not far behind either. The only negative note is that it is very demanding on the hardware level, but that is understandable when we consider what it offers on the graphical level.

Alan Wake 2 is undoubtedly one of the best horror games is destined to become one of the great classics of the genre. Highly recommended, even if you’re not a fan of these types of games, as long as your computer can handle them.

I had mixed feelings about this title, I won’t lie to you, but I ended up liking it even more than Fallout 4, one of my favorite games in the entire Bethesda catalog. Starfield isn’t perfect, not really a Bethesda game, but it boasts a pretty good technical section and offers us a huge, very meticulous and well-set universe that we can explore completely freely.

All this along with the large number of missions available to us and everything we can do in the game hundreds of hours of fun. It has improved a lot with the latest patches it has received and already has support for FSR 3 and DLSS 3. If you like space exploration and are looking for something that has a lot of freedom and content, but at the same time it is affordable, don’t hesitate, this is your game .

4.-Remake of Resident Evil 4

One of the best remakes ever, for both fidelity to the original as well as for the improvements and innovations that have been introduced without losing its essence. Even in terms of requirements, it is a fairly affordable game and works well even on less powerful computers, thanks to the fact that it was developed on the basis of the PS4.

You received a free content extension, the mercenary mode and the paid DLC “Separate Paths” that allows us to play as Ada Wong. This DLC is worth it, I can confirm that, I finished it a few months ago and both in terms of duration, gameplay and story, it’s excellent, and it’s also very economical.

  • CPU Ryzen 3 1200 or Core i5-7500 (4 cores and 4 threads).

5.-Baldur’s Gate III

It raised many expectations and was not easy to fulfill, but He finally did, and he did it in a big way.. Not only is it one of the best RPG games of 2023, it is also another game that is destined to become a classic in the world of video games.

6.-Devil IV

I think it’s a game that needs no introduction. Blizzard had a hard time living up to the expectations it generated and had a score to settle after the numerous mistakes it made with Diablo III. He finally did, Diablo IV was a huge success, it offers many hours of entertainment and is of a good standard even on old generation consoles.

It has only one negative point and that is that the “late game” approach can be improved, but with the seasonal model that Blizzard has adopted, it becomes much more tolerable and allows us to try out new characters that enjoy a fresh and less repetitive start.

  • Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX 8100 processor (quad-core).

  • Broadband internet connection.

7.-Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

It’s not a new game per se, as it requires the original game to work, but it brings such important changes and is of such good length that it deserves to be treated as if it really is. With this DLC, the CDPR team said goodbye to the old console generation and introduced a huge number of optimizations and new mechanics that completely changed the gameplay.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is, generally speaking, what the original game was supposed to be at the time of its release. Highly recommended and one of the most advanced and technically demanding titles out there today.

8.-Forza Motorsport

It’s true that the PC version arrived in a state that could be improved in terms of optimization, but that doesn’t hide the fact that we’re facing a work of art that will delight driving game loversboth for graphic quality and gameplay and content.

I could tell you that the graphics are the best thing about the game, but that would be unfair, since we are talking about a title that is loaded with content and offers us Hours and hours of fun with gameplay that we can generally rank in the middle between simulation and arcade.

Minimal requirements

  • Windows 10 as an operating system.
  • Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor.
  • Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT.
  • 4 GB of graphics memory.
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • SSD with 130 GB for free.

9.-Lords of the Fallen

I won’t lie to you, I was very hesitant to buy this game, especially since the reviews and opinions I saw online didn’t match up. In the end, I decided to take a chance and take advantage of the Christmas deals, and I have to tell you I’m happy I did.

Lords of the Fallen has things that could be improved, but that’s about it one of the best Souls games I’ve ever played Until now. It’s sublime engineering, excellent setup and dedication to these two worlds, between which we can alternate with the lamp, make it something unique. It’s not just another copy of Dark Souls, it is a game with its own style and personality that you shouldn’t miss.

Minimal requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU.
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • A graphics card with 6 GB of graphics memory or more, such as GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 590. There is a slight error of equivalence here, Radeon RX 580 would be correct.
  • DirectX 11.
  • 45 GB free space. Best on SSD, although HDD is supported.

10.-Remake of Dead Space

Another game that showed remakes can do it surpass the original while keeping its spirit and essence intact, as happened for example with Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake. Despite its fidelity to the classics, it introduces an important graphic facelift and brings important changes that represent very interesting improvements.

One of the best horror games entire history and one of the best games of 2023 in its own right. Don’t miss it, even if you’re not a fan of the franchise, you’ll enjoy it a lot, though keep in mind that it’s quite challenging and you’ll need a good computer to run it properly.

Minimal requirements
