On the morning of February 22, the AT&T network crashed throughout the United States. Customers couldn’t make calls, send text messages, or access the Internet.
More than 74,000 AT&T customers reported the outage to digital service tracking site DownDetector, but the number of affected subscribers may be higher.
The article states that AT&T acknowledged the fact of a mass failure but did not provide information about the cause.
“This morning, some of our customers are experiencing wireless outages. We are working urgently to restore their service.” The company said, urging those affected to use Wi-Fi to make calls until the network problems are resolved.
Customers of carriers Verizon and T-Mobile also reported nearly 1,000 network errors, according to DownDetector data.
However, T-Mobile denied this information and said their network was operating normally. Verizon made a similar comment.
As Ukrinform reported, on December 12, a large-scale malfunction occurred in the work of the Kyivstar mobile communications operator.
