Apple Music now has a monthly Replay

Open war between streaming music services, mainly between Apple Music and Spotify, has a derivative that is undoubtedly the most positive, namely that both services are constantly trying to improve the proposal of their rival in order to be more attractive to all their potential users in this way. And although some people use both (like me, due to separate family plans), it’s normal to opt for one or the other and not pay two monthly payments for two services that essentially offer the same thing.

In this regard, it is true that Apple’s service seems to have taken the lead, as it is generally more active when it comes to introducing new features and improving existing ones. The most recent example comes from a few days ago when we learned that the folks at Cupertino are testing the integration of SongShift into Apple Music, making it easier to import playlists that users have previously created on other services. Obviously, this is a move designed to ease the transition from said services to Apple Music, but in any case, it’s an interesting feature for users.

A feature that has become very popular in content-related services is to offer us, as the year ends, a summary of what we heardseen, read, etc., one of those retrospect exercises that many people like so much (myself included, of course) because it’s a kind of journal that we haven’t bothered to write, but still reminds us of what’s happened in the past twelve months .

Apple Music now has a monthly Replay

Why does it have to be annual? It is true that reviewing a year is very good, but there is really no reason to limit these “memories” to this period. And that’s what they must have thought in Cupertino, because, as we can now read in TechCrunch Apple Music offers its traditional Replay in a monthly format. Available from the web interface of the service, by clicking on the “Start” button we will enter a new page that will show us cards for each of the months of the year at the top.

However, we must understand this This new monthly Replay will not replace the annual one, but it will function as its complement, so that when the month of December arrives, we will be able to evaluate our annual activity at a glance and delve deeper into what interested us most in a particular month (perhaps what we listened to in the summer to remember, for example, the holidays? ). Whatever it is, we are undoubtedly talking about a simple feature, and yet it can be very interesting for many users.

And by the way, if you’re an Apple Music user on Windows and haven’t seen it, Apple recently updated its design for accessing the service from Microsoft’s operating system. Yes, after years of having to suffer through iTunes in the very low hours (and it pains me to say it because at the time I loved the app), Apple Music finally has a native app for Windows.
