Genetec has launched a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution called Security Center SaaS, focused on improving physical security systems through cloud technology.

Genetec, a company specializing in security solutions, has launched Security Center SaaS, a scalable and open SaaS solution that integrates various security functions. This platform includes access control, video management and monitoring of unauthorized access, both physical and digital. The launch marks a step forward in the use of cloud technology in physical security.

Physical security via the cloud

Christian Morin, vice president of product engineering at Genetec, emphasizes that Security Center SaaS offers an answer to the demand for more flexibility in security solutions. The platform allows companies to deploy their systems to best meet their specific needs, without having to choose between fully on-premises or cloud-based solutions.

Security Center SaaS is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of industries including retail, education, corporate, finance, healthcare and local government. The platform supports both small and large deployments and offers the ability to centralize management and monitoring. Security Center SaaS will be available worldwide from April 2024 through certified Genetec partners and is offered in various subscription options.
