A group of German lawyers filed a complaint this Friday with the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office against German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and several senior officials of the country for “aiding and abetting genocide” Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.

These lawyers said that arms exports from Germany to Israel reached 326.5 million euros ($3.922 million) over the past year. This assistance, they emphasize, was approved after the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, which means that increase arms exports tenfold compared to 2022. “Weapons imported from Germany account for 28 percent of Israel’s military imports,” they warned.

In this sense, the organization regrets that the German government approved hundreds of additional exports worth €300 million and criticize the fact that the possibility of supplying ammunition for tanks is being considered.

“We call on all governments to comply with the decision of the International Court of Justice and take all necessary measures to prevent and stop genocide in the Gaza Strip. “Germany must stop exporting to Israel!” – he said.
