Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a very angry comment on social media yesterday You wouldn’t be able to use Windows 11 without a Microsoft accountand that he thought it was really crazy because, in his own words, it allowed the Redmond giant’s artificial intelligence to access his computer. He then noted that there should be an option to skip this step, i.e. to use the mentioned operating system without a Microsoft account.
Users were quick to give context to Elon Musk’s message that said this There are ways to use Windows 11 without having a Microsoft account. That’s true, but it’s also true that the Redmond giant has been cracking down on local accounts for some time, and that ultimately the easiest thing for the average user to do is to jump through the hoops and use a Microsoft account, even if that means making some concessions to privacy.
We’ve also touched on this topic more than once, and right now it’s the easiest way install Windows 11 without a Microsoft account used by Rufus. In any case, it is important to remember that using a Microsoft account also has its advantages. For example, with it we can access advanced cloud functions, synchronization with other computers and security measures and password recovery.
All in all, it’s still strange that the CEO of companies as big as Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink has to worry about things as mundane as this. Users of the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, gave different answers. Some outright advised him to buy a Mac, even though it wouldn’t be a good choice for Musk since he’s a video game lover, and others outright told him Why don’t you create a new operating system.
That last response was the most interesting Elon Musk received as a result of this little controversy, though as you can imagine Easier said than done. With the dominance that Windows has in the market and the number of factors that affect the success of an operating system, I believe that even Musk would not be able to achieve this goal of creating an operating system that can compete with Windows.
I just bought a new laptop computer and they won’t let me use it unless I create a Microsoft account, which also means their AI access to my computer! This is messed up.
Previously, there was an option to skip signing in or creating a Microsoft account.
Do you see it too?
