In 2024, the budget provides 1.5 billion UAH for the development of defense technology under the Brave1 project.
According to the Ukrinform correspondent, this was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovations, Education, Science and Technologies – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during the forum “Made in Ukraine”.
“This year the government allocated UAH 1.5 billion to Brave1 as a venture investor. As a result, hundreds of startups will receive non-refundable grants. We are not just talking about the development of drones. I hope that another powerful weapon will appear on the platform, which I hope will also happen,” Fedorov said. “I hope we will hear it next year,” he emphasized.
He reminded that the Brave1 cluster was launched in June 2023. During this period, more than 1,200 applications were received to participate in the project from teams making innovative developments in the military technology sector. In total, last year cluster members received $2.92 million in non-refundable grants.
As reported, participants of the Brave1 cluster have developed a remote-controlled transporter to evacuate casualties from the battlefield.
