Lenovo introduces 14-inch portable screen

If you want more screen space on the go, Lenovo offers you the new ThinkVision M14t Gen 2. The new version of this portable screen is somewhat surprisingly heavier than a previous version.

Lenovo is showing the ThinkVision M14t Gen 2 at MWC 2024. This is a mobile monitor that is the successor to the ThinkVision M14 from 2019 in terms of both style and functionality. At 700 grams, the portable screen is slightly heavier than its predecessor (590 grams), but that can be explained by the adjusted screen ratio. After all, the M14t has a modern 16:10 format and therefore offers more screen space than its 16:9 predecessor.

Specifications

The design remains identical. The display fits in a laptop bag and is powered and imaged via a USB Type-C cable. Connect it to your laptop and your mobile office will be twice as spacious. With a brightness of 300 nits, the display seems sufficient for most scenarios as long as you’re not sitting outside in the sun.

Lenovo integrates rotation sensors and states that the screen can be used horizontally and vertically without any problems. The display also has touch functionality. The portable screen will come to us in May and costs 399 euros (including VAT). Inflation has been hit hard since 2019, the regular M14 cost 277 euros including VAT when it was launched. It is also significantly more expensive than its MSI counterpart, but does not have touch functionality and we didn’t like it equally in every scenario.
