The HP Envy x360 is a series of mid-range convertibles from an American manufacturer. The company took advantage of the MWC framework to update the 14-inch model, well balanced in terms of size, price and the ability to equip it with the latest Intel or AMD processors.

We like these HP Envy x360s. They retain the focus and hinge system of the impressive Specter x360 (arguably the best convertible in the business alongside the Lenovo Yoga), but at a much cheaper price. Its goal is the same: offers versatility of use of these hybrids that serve as a laptop, tablet and more with a single device.

HP Envy x360 – 14″

14 inches is the perfect size for a laptop that wants to work on the go and at a desk. HP offers a choice of three panels, two IPS with FHD resolution and one OLED that raises the bar with a native resolution extended to 2880 x 1800 pixels and with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Of course, they are all multi-touch, compatible with fingers or a stylus.

The internal hardware options are also interesting as the client can opt for Intel Meteor Lake (Core Ultra 7 or 5) or AMD Ryzen 8000 (7 or 5 HS). HP chose to use Intel’s lower-power “U” processors, and therefore packs integrated 4-core graphics. In this regard, AMD must be better with the Radeon 780M.

They can equip 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and for storing SSD disks from 512 GB to 2 TB. Connectivity is top-notch with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 in both versions, one with an Intel chip and the other with MediaTek chips. Another difference is Intel’s Thunderbolt 4, which AMD compensates for with two USB 3.2 Gen2.

Both include a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port for the charging system, HP Sleep and recharge. They also have an HDMI output, stereo speakers with DTS X, a 5 MP webcam with an IR sensor for security tasks and a 59 Wh battery.

With Windows 11 pre-installed, the new HP Envy x360 will be available in March 2024 in three colors and two review versions. Its price is very similar, $960 (Intel) and $950 (AMD). Very interesting for those looking for the versatility of a good convertible and don’t want/can pay the high price of higher end models.
