HP is, thanks to its continued work over the years one of the main references on the notebook market. It is not for nothing that we are talking about one of the technology companies that have played a key role in the birth and development of this market since its inception. Of course, this can only be achieved by being at the forefront of technological innovation and how it can be used to improve the user experience of their devices as much as possible.
How do you know, The most relevant technology today is artificial intelligenceand although a year ago it was something that had a clear dependence on data centers, which were the only ones able to perform the associated load, the specialization of some components (especially processors and graphics cards) and the optimization of the algorithms used in these tasks made it possible that today we can talk about AI computing on devices.
So we are entering a period where we will see the major manufacturers start showing us their first designs in this regard and with this movement HP takes the lead in this regard, representing no less than five devices, each with different variants in which artificial intelligence is the focus, but without neglecting the other benefits we expect from the new members of the various families they become a part of. So let’s see what these new HP designs consist of.
We start our review of new features with this small one, which is small only in size, certainly not in features. We will find a device that, as you could already deduce from the name, is primarily focused on mobility, in which its magnesium and aluminum chassis plays a key role, which at the same time provides resistance and lightness, which allows its weight not to decrease to reach a kilo, something remarkable for a system with a screen 13.3 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio. But autonomy is of course also key for mobility, and in this respect this HP Pavilion Aero 13 also scores very highly, with an autonomy that can reach 12 hours.
We will find inside AMD Ryzen APU with integrated NPU, which, as hinted at the beginning, means that we will be able to perform artificial intelligence-based operations locally, either those integrated into the operating system and HP’s optimizations or with third-party applications. Plus integrated graphics AMD Radeon and its compatibility with AMD FreeSyncthey guarantee that we will be able to enjoy a more than remarkable performance even in the graphic part.
Now let’s move to another format, jumping up to 16 incheswhere we can choose between different configurations, including one of OLED screen have more than remarkable picture quality, which is accredited by its IMAX Enhanced certification. In addition, this generation’s redesign provides 10.3% more vertical display space compared to its predecessor, which combined with a larger precision touchpad makes it a very comfortable choice for creators.
Once inside, we can choose between configurations with Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen processors, in both cases always with chips that integrate the NPU, which also strengthens this team’s ability to perform AI-based operations on the client in a truly agile manner. In addition, for those who need extra performance in the graphics part, we can also find it in models equipped with Intel chips NVIDIA GeForce graphics.
And what can we expect from a team with these characteristics in terms of autonomy? Well, the HP Pavilion 16 also shines in this sense because the combination of its battery and HP Fast Charge technology is able to deliver autonomy up to 19 hours in models with Intel chips, which represents an impressive increase of up to 44% compared to its predecessor.
The HP Envy family also underwent a significant renewal, with three computers leaping into the era of artificial intelligence. On the one hand we have HP Envy 14 and 16, about which we already informed you in detail yesterdayand their AI-related capabilities make these convertibles more versatile than ever.
Today we know about another update, namely the HP Envy 17, really heavy (in terms of size and features, but of course not in weight) with a screen no smaller than 17.3 inches. This, combined with its large-format touchpad and backlit keyboard, makes it an exceptionally comfortable system for performing any type of task, from image editing and working with large documents to enjoying multimedia content and, of course, gaming.
It is for this purpose that we find options in the graphic section that go as far as equipping NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobilecoupled with an APU with an integrated NPU for local AI. It also excels in terms of connectivity, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C chargingas well as for its autonomy, truly remarkable in a device of these dimensions and characteristics, and which can last up to nine hours.
