Windows 11 supports new Intel processors, but forgets about AMD

The list of Windows 11 compatible processors got a big update, though it focused exclusively on processors Intel Core 14th generationand completely left out the new AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry, because the latter are fully compatible with the mentioned operating system, even if they are not listed.

These are the new Windows 11 compatible processors that Microsoft has added to the list within the family Restore Intel Core Raptor Lake:

After this latest update, the total number of processors compatible with Windows 11 is equal 1,207, including 903 Intel and 304 AMD. If you are in doubt on this topic, things are simpler than they seem, any 8th generation Intel Core processor (Core 8000) and any Ryzen based on Zen+ (Ryzen 2000) are compatible.

That the processor is not listed as compatible It does not mean that it is not possible to force install Windows 11 on it. It is possible, although it is not entirely advisable, because we could have medium and long-term problems, or even be left without support, which is exactly what happened with those processors that do not have SSE4a or higher instructions that were in the 24H2 update blocked.
