According to The Register, Lenovo will officially sell used computers and servers. The new initiative is called Lenovo Certified Refurbished: It is expected to help customers save money on equipment purchases while also reducing the negative impact on the environment.
All devices will be repaired and repaired before being offered for sale again. It involves deleting data, replacing and updating components when necessary. This will be followed by extensive testing to meet “high standards of quality and functionality”.
It is said that only “best in class” Lenovo computers and servers will be selected for the Lenovo Certified Refurbished program. The company will give them a standard one-year warranty with the possibility of extending it up to three years. All computers are compatible with Windows 11. Whenever possible, Lenovo will use original packaging (labeled for recovery) to reduce waste.
