Times are changing, as are the applications for our Android mobile phones. Like life itself, the traditional Google Weather section has undergone evolution, with obvious influences from Material You and adaptation to the design lines of Android 14.
But while the official mascot of this app is still present, you may miss the old interface. We see information more clearly now, but there will always be those who understand it better with the previous one. You can recover it, but you need to download it to do so. An app that mimics it perfectly.
This Frog Weather is a clone of the old Google Weather
It’s nothing new for Google to keep updating its apps to offer better functionality and a flashier aesthetic quotient. That’s what happened to all ‘Google Apps’ when Android 12 introduced Material You, and today we continue to receive new updates that change the interface.
In reality, the “new” Google Time hasn’t been on our Android phones and devices for very long (pardon the redundancy), having been phased out in the middle to late last year. But, we love the new interfaceBut as they say, “it never rains to everyone’s liking.” Don’t worry, Frog Weather He is your savior.
This app copies the old look Google Time with a very convincing result. As in the past, we have a home screen organized in three tabs: “Today”, “Tomorrow” and “10 days”. They provide access to forecasts for different time periods.
Next, the “hamburger menu” consisting of three horizontal lines appearing in the upper left corner allows us to access the settings, a button to refresh the weather forecast and an intriguing menu. weather map where we will see the course of clouds or winds throughout the day.
As we said, the beloved and cute little frog returns to its origins by posing in different environments. If we scroll while on the screen, we will reach the detailed estimate. informs us about different parameters: complete reports on humidity, pressure, UV index, visibility and rain and wind.
It also provides information on: air quality and about sunrise and sunset. Since it can detect our location, as in other similar applications, we do not need to enter it manually when we change location.
Frog Weather is completely free, although it does show some ads. You can eliminate these by paying for the app, but they didn’t bother us during our tests. Additionally, no features are saved for paying users, which is another reason to use it. You can download it to your Android mobile phone from the Play Store link we left below.
