Veeam introduces Veeam Data Cloud. This is a new service that offers backup-as-a-service for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.
Veeam introduces the Veeam Data Cloud. It is a Microsoft Azure-based service focused on simplifying the management of backup activities in the context of greater cyber resilience and reliability.
Veeam has developed the new solution specifically for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. The Veeam Data Cloud uses the Veeam Data Platform. The solution differs from the Veeam Data Platform in its simplicity: In the data cloud you have to log in to a web interface, after which most things happen automatically. The data platform requires managing its own infrastructure and storage. You can therefore consider the Veeam Data Cloud as a managed variant of the Data Platform. Veeam Data Cloud is available now.
The cloud-native platform integrates with Microsoft Azure, uses zero trust principles and runs in isolation from production environments. Veeam ensures constant updates and maintenance so backups are always safe and ready for recovery.
Backup services for Microsoft 365 and Azure
The Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is based on the existing Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 solution and offers comprehensive protection for Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Teams. It allows businesses to maintain full control of their Microsoft 365 data with a focus on simplicity, security and an intuitive user experience.
For Microsoft Azure, Veeam introduces Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Azure: a SaaS offering that provides comprehensive protection for Azure VMs, Azure SQL and Azure Files. This offering focuses on rapid return on investment, business readiness by following backup, security and FinOps best practices, and reliable recovery with customizable Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
The solution is available through the Azure marketplace or Veeam resellers.
