According to Ukrinform, The Independent reports this.
The laptop has the same design as Apple’s smallest and cheapest computer, but at the same time the device is equipped with the M3 chip, which was first introduced in late 2023. It is stated that thanks to M3, the laptop runs 60% faster than the M1 chip model.
In addition to the chip, the new MacBook Air has better Wi-Fi technology, new microphone functions and better audio quality during calls, the company said.
The laptop will now support two displays when the lid is closed, instead of a single display as before.
All other features remain the same, including the $1,099 price tag. However, Apple’s laptop will be cheaper in the UK, starting at £1,099 ($1,393), while its predecessor will start at £1,149 ($1,456).
The gadget will also have four color options, but the Midnight color will leave fewer fingerprints on it thanks to a special coating. The new MacBook Air will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch versions.
Apple also announced that the MacBook Air with M1 chip, which was on sale until March 4, has been discontinued.
As reported by Ukrinform, Apple will allow users in the EU to download apps not only from the AppStore, but also from third-party stores, in accordance with the EU’s anti-monopoly requirements.
