Hackers started using Microsoft Office’s zero vulnerability to hack users. This was reported by Gadgets360.
Media reporters refer to the report of the Japanese company Nao_sec, whose experts found a new way to hack computers. Attackers send modified text documents and offer to open them to victims using Microsoft Word. After running the document, the html file is removed from the remote server – the latter can download malicious code to the computer.
Explaining the principle of the mechanism, experts said that hackers often use macros to hack, but now attackers have learned to act without them. According to experts, hacking can be done through Microsoft Office 2013 and later versions of programs.
On Monday, May 30, Microsoft acknowledged the vulnerability by providing CVE-2022-30190. The company promised to release a patch that fixes the issue.
