The world’s most expensive iPhones are sold in Turkey

Apple products often make headlines due to their high prices. Consumers all over the world do not hesitate to pay between $ 799 and $ 1,599 for iPhone 15 models. In fact, Apple aims to reach more users by developing affordable smartphones such as the iPhone SE 4. There is a country that sells the iPhone 15 Pro Max for over $3,400. Yes, Turkey once again broke the world’s most expensive iPhone sales record. Details are here…

Turkish iPhone again for 3400 dollars It became the world’s most expensive iPhone

When it comes to “The World’s Most Expensive iPhone”, most of us think of the Caviar iPhone models covered with gold and jewels. Yes, iPhones are incredibly expensive, selling for thousands of dollars more. However, users who buy these are paying for the luxurious design of the phone, not the phone itself. By “the world’s most expensive iPhone” I actually mean the familiar iPhone 15, which can be purchased much cheaper at any Apple Store in the world.

Apple recently updated its prices in Turkey with the introduction of the MacBook Air with M3 processor. As you know, Türkiye is known for its high taxes, especially on smartphones. Therefore, when prices rise, the effect is felt twice as much. After the price increase, the price of the 1 TB iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is currently the most expensive option, is 107,999 TL, or over $ 3,400. In the future, the same phone will be sold for $1,599 in the USA. Even in Brazil, the second most expensive country, you’ll have to pay $2,800 for the same phone.

Just because a phone is expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a negative, right? If the purchasing power in the country is high, this may not pose a problem for people. Unfortunately, this is not the case and what is sad is not only iPhone prices in Turkey. Most of the country is working minimum wage, and at current wages it will take more than 6 months to save enough money to buy an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The ridiculous thing is that these prices are not related to Apple. As we mentioned above, tax rates in the country are very high and Turkey earns more money than Apple from every phone sold, which is quite ironic.
