Logitech has introduced the new MX Brio 705 external webcam. A model that will lead its catalog in terms of performance, thanks to an improved sensor and the assistance of artificial intelligence technologies.

The MX Brio 705 is part of the ‘MX’ series, where the Swiss manufacturer places its high-end peripherals. The webcam comes to replace the Brio 4K, which was launched seven years ago and basically promises better performance, higher video and audio qualityand the ‘magical’ part of AI.

To do this, mount a large sensor, 8.5 megapixels and f/2.0 aperture, which can handle 4K video at 30 FPS or 1080 video at 60 frames per second. Logitech says it has increased the sensor size of the original model by 70%, which in itself should improve image quality.

In addition, the company promises to further improve it by using AI in low-light conditions to achieve a “twice the face visibility”, which we assume translates to make the user’s face look better. Artificial intelligence also works in the audio part, specifically reducing background noise by working with the beamforming of its two microphones.

It also includes a privacy closure which should avoid known webcam spying by being physically closed when not in use. The MX Brio 705 has the usual support for installation on a computer monitor and connects to a computer via a USB Type-C cable. It works with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and the manufacturer has included control software that allows you to adjust exposure, intensity, field of view, and other webcam settings.

The Logitech MX Brio 705 is now available on the Logitech pro website $199.99. It comes in three color variants, light grey, graphite and black. It is compatible with most video conferencing applications and is certified for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.
