HP ZBook Power

The full-fledged HP ZBook G11 laptops will have new Intel and AMD chips with AI functions on board, supported in part by a significantly more powerful Nvidia RTX Ada graphics card.

Just like the newly announced HP EliteBook G11 series, the HP ZBook devices are also getting an AI upgrade. The latest generation of workstations includes AMD Ryzen Pro chips and Intel Core Ultra vPro chips.

The focus is on high build quality and ISV certification to ensure you achieve maximum performance in professional workloads such as 3D modeling, design or AI-related developments. Every new ZBook features a Copilot key on the keyboard to more quickly launch Windows’ AI assistant.

HP divides the ZBook series into four different profiles. HP ZBook Firefly 14 and 16 G11 focuses on lightweight, mobile laptops where you already have a discrete GPU option. The HP ZBook Power 16 G11 focuses much more on performance in a more spacious chassis without losing sight of the price. If you want the best of both worlds or simply can’t decide, choose the ZBook Studio 16 G11. Desktop performance in a laptop? Then the HP ZBook Fury16 G11 is the best choice.

HP also emphasizes that it is the first PC manufacturer to seamlessly integrate with Nvidia NGC.

HP ZBook Firefly 14 and 16 G11

The most portable (and least powerful) ZBook in the series, Firefly, gets an upgrade to the latest AI chips from Intel and AMD. You can recognize the latter by the letter A at the back of the product name. You can choose between Intel Core Ultra vPro H-series (5/7/9-series) chips or the new AMD Ryzen Pro chips that will be introduced soon.

For the first time, you can configure a discrete graphics card in a Firefly model. The new Nvidia RTX 500 ADA is an option you can choose now. Two screen sizes are available: 14 inches and 16 inches (Intel only).

HP ZBook Power 16 G11

While each model primarily gets a chip upgrade, the HP ZBook Power G11 gets a complete overhaul. Now you get a 16:10 screen ratio for improved productivity. There is one screen size available, namely 16 inches. AMD Ryzen Pro or Intel Core Ultra (H-series) are configurable.

If you want a robust graphics card without making the device very thick and (too) heavy, you can configure the HP ZBook Power with a maximum of one Nvidia RTX 3000 Ada GPU. If you have a smaller budget, you can also configure an Nvidia RTX 1000 Ada or RTX 500 Ada.

HP ZBook Studio 16 G11

Apart from the new Intel Core Ultra chips (vPro), there are hardly any changes to the HP ZBook Studio. There is no AMD variant yet. If you want to configure the latest Ryzen Pro chips, which will be officially announced soon, you should take a closer look at the ZBook Power above.

The ZBook Studio workstation has one screen option: 16 inches.

HP ZBook Fury 16 G11

A laptop-sized desktop workstation? The HP ZBook Fury 16 G11 is the only ZBook with a desktop CPU on board. Not an Intel Core Ultra mobile chip, but a 14th generation Intel Core HX chip. Again, no AMD option is available.

If you want to maximize your system, you can configure up to an Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada. Another screen size: 16 inches.

Prices and availability

All workstations, except the HP ZBook Studio G11, will be available in the US in April. Studio G11 will follow in May. HP is not mentioning a recommended retail price for the time being. It is not yet clear when the plane will arrive in our direction.
