The Security Service of Ukraine exhibited the first marine drone made thanks to a large-scale collection of volunteers. Thanks to the Ukrainian business community, international donors and Ukrainians, almost 300 million hryvnias were raised for 35 Sea Baby seaplanes in record time.

The first sample that the SBU showed during testing was called “Avdiivka”. It’s different from the previous generation. 2024 “Sea Baby” is a new generation, improved and even more lethal drone.

“The future is based on technological approaches. SBU is trying to be the first in this direction, and it is really succeeding. We have trained unique maritime drone specialists in the service ranks to further develop and scale the work of clearing the Black Sea from the enemy. Our task is to destroy the invaders and bring Victory closer,” said SBU Chairman Vasyl Malyuk.

The new seaplane “Avdiivka” will go through a full cycle of sea trials. During this process, the SBU development team will adapt the latest air weapons specifically designed and manufactured for use on the SeaBaby 2024 multi-role platforms.

“The new marine drone SeaBaby 2024 has advanced technical characteristics, excellent combat and maneuverability. It has the capacity to carry almost a ton of explosives to a thousand kilometers.
