Backup specialist Veeam is expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft. The goal is to develop solutions to protect customers by integrating Veeam products with Microsoft Copilot and AI services. The goal of the collaboration is to offer data protection for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure, including through the recently announced Veeam Data Cloud.
Through a multi-year technical partnership, Veeam and Microsoft will develop capabilities to keep businesses operational in times of increasing threats. With the partnership, the two want to support their mutual customers in increasing their cyber resilience.
Together to the customer
The collaboration between Veeam and Microsoft includes the joint development of additional AI capabilities in Veeam’s backup and recovery products, integrated support of the latest APIs for Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, and joint go-to-market for protection and recovery of data from Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure customers. Additionally, Veeam introduces new backup and restore capabilities for Microsoft Azure. The two parties want to accelerate customer migration to Veeam Data Cloud on Azure.
