On Monday, March 11, SpaceX launched two new sets of Starlink Internet satellites into space.
This was reported by Space.com, as reported by Ukrinform.
The company first launched a Falcon 9 launch vehicle with 23 satellites on board from its spaceport in the eastern state of Florida at 01:05 Kiev time.
At 06:09 Kiev time, another Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched from the spaceport in California along with another group of 23 Starlink Internet satellites.
Both sets of satellites were placed into low Earth orbit about an hour after launch from Earth.
There are currently approximately 5,500 Starlink spacecraft in this orbit, but the company has announced plans to increase this number.
SpaceX currently has permission to launch 12,000 Starlink satellites and has applied to launch approximately 30,000 more satellites.
As Ukrinform reported, on February 23, SpaceX launched a new batch of 22 Starlink internet satellites.
