Windows 11 is now fully compliant with the European Union’s DMA Regulation, which stands for “Digital Markets Act”. One of the requirements set by said legislation is that companies that have a huge user base (more than 45 million) must advertise healthy competitionand therefore must offer consumers different options for their services.
To actually meet this requirement, Microsoft has introduced changes in Microsoft that allow the user remove these services and applications custom and third-party apps preinstalled with Windows 11 that they don’t like or need, and also gives them the ability to pin third-party apps to the taskbar.
All these changes have made their way into the operating system gradually, This means that they are not an overnight innovation, but represent an important and beneficial change for all European consumers because gives us more control over Windows 11, which is undoubtedly appreciated.
Microsoft adheres to the DMA, although the company has not had to adapt all of its software solutions or all of its services because Bing and Edge received exemptions by not having any domain type in their respective markets. In these cases, it is Google that completely dominates with Google and Chrome. Despite everything, the Redmond giant has also introduced changes in this regard to improve the user experience.
